SCRUMPTIOUS Study Releases SCD Resources for Patients

As a result of the Specific Carbohydrate Diet Curriculum - Patient and Caretaker's Outlooks (SCRUMPTIOUS) Study, Stanford Children's Health released a host of SCD resources available to both study participants and the public. This new webpage was designed based on their findings from SCRUMPTIOUS: that patients and families desired evidenced-based, reliable diet education.

SCRUMPTIOUS Study Releases SCD Resources for Patients

Dr. Nancy Rivera (MD, MS), Venus Kalami (MNSP, RD), Kaylie Nguyen (NNP), and Dr. Ann Ming Yeh (MD) have provided an SCD curriculum covering the basics of SCD, the science behind SCD, and insights into the nutritional adequacy of SCD. All videos are intended to educate patients and families interested in SCD with reliable, evidence-based information.

In addition, the webpage also provides tools to assist SCD beginners and veterans alike, including cooking videos, written recipes, cooking tips and tricks, and a lengthy Q&A section. It is an excellent resource both as an introduction to the SCD diet as well as for guidance and troubleshooting for patients already practicing SCD.
